Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying spring. We are supposed to get some rain this coming week, but the weather is still warm/hot.

As I posted on our Facebook page, we were not ready to sell anything at the market this weekend except maybe some lettuce. We have been harvesting some pickling cucumbers, zucchini, and peppers here and there, but not enough to sell.

Our daughter bought us four Concord grape bushes last year, and they are filling out. They are harvested in late September.
George has been busy working on a dog fence for our grandpuppy, Onyx, and building some beautiful wooden crates for our veggies. I am excited because until now, we’ve been carrying them in cardboard boxes and piling them up on the tables at the market. One of us will be staining them with Eco Wood soon!

The hubby finally mowed down the dead crimson clover and covered it with landscaping fabric to prep it for future gardening. The bees loved the clover.
Speaking of bees, George was asked to speak at this year’s SC Beekeeping Association meeting in Columbia this July. Also, he officially became an SC certified beekeeper, and we are all so proud of him. He is well on his way to becoming a Journeyman Beekeeper and then a Master Beekeeper. Most of the Master’s level requires a certain amount of time because some things you must experience for expertise.
♥Thank you for checking in, and Happy Harvest!♥
