What a day we had at the Conway Farmer’s Market yesterday.

For the vendors, we show up at 6 am, with our trucks loaded and ready to set up for the day. It was around 73°, and the mosquitoes were out. In case anyone wants to know, Thermacell works pretty well at keeping the mosquitoes away.

We had a steady stream of people throughout the day, and it was fantastic. The conversations were wonderful, and some were quite humorous. We enjoyed all the visitors asking intelligent questions and showing a strong interest in beekeeping. It made my heart happy to have students of all ages showing a keen interest in what bees do for the environment.

And to the young man who suggested spicy and sour infused honey, we are strongly looking into this, mainly of the spicy variety! Thank you for your suggestions, we really appreciate you!

With our booth filled with the aroma of fresh basil and honey, we were delighted with conversations of gardening and food. I loved folks sharing recipes! Apparently, you can and should eat zucchini blossoms!

Visitors kept coming by even though the heat index rose to over 100°, with our last customer coming right at closing time.

It was a great day indeed.

Next weekend we will not be at the Farmer’s Market, but thank you all for showing up and making what we are doing so much fun.
